About Ventura County Landscapers
A free, local referral service. Not a landscaping contractor.
Who we are
Ventura County Landscapers is a free referral service for homeowners and property owners in Ventura County, California. We are not a contractor, and we do not perform landscaping work ourselves. When you send us a request, we connect you with an independent local landscaping contractor who serves your area, and that provider contacts you directly. Always verify a contractor's license at cslb.ca.gov before hiring.
Why we exist
Finding a good landscaping contractor can take a lot of phone calls. Search results are crowded with national lead brokers, and it is hard to tell who actually works in Ventura County. Our goal is simple: publish genuinely useful local information about landscape design, water-wise yards, irrigation, and hardscape, and give you one easy way to reach a local provider without being passed around to a dozen companies.
How the referral works
- Tell us about the job. Fill out the short form with your city, the service you need, and a few details.
- We connect you. We pass your request to an independent local pro who covers your area.
- Get your estimate. The provider contacts you, looks at the job, and gives you a written estimate.
- You decide. Compare, ask questions, and hire only if it's right for you. No obligation.
What we promise, and what we don't
- Using this site is free for you. Providers, not homeowners, support the service.
- We share your request with one independent local provider, not a long list of companies.
- We do not do the work, set prices, or guarantee any provider's work. The provider you hire is responsible for its license, permits, insurance, estimate, and workmanship.
- We don't publish fake reviews, invented statistics, or made-up credentials.
Protect yourself when hiring
Ask for the provider's California contractor license number and check it on the CSLB website, confirm they carry liability insurance (and workers' compensation if they have employees), get a written estimate that describes the scope of work, and ask who pulls any required permit. In California, a contractor generally cannot ask for a down payment of more than 10% of the contract price or $1,000, whichever is less, for home improvement work.
